Solar Project Engineer - Posted 8/29/25
We are seeking a Solar Project Engineer to join our dynamic team in Winnipeg. Reporting to the Solar Product Manager, you will play a key role in design, costing, technical support, and production implementation of standard and custom solar (PV) products and harness assemblies for centralized PV systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct manufacturing feasibility analysis and cost analysis to prepare quotations for new programs in a timely manner
- Read site prints and design/configure optimal PV (solar) harness layouts
- Optimize designs for cost, efficiency, and ease of deployment
- Lead or support the design, prototyping, test, and validation of new solar products to comply with internal standards and external compliance requirements while maintaining critical development timelines
- Lead or assist with tool and fixture design for production assembly
- Outline project tasks and timelines, ensuring projects stay on track and shorten overall development cycle time
- Participate in cross-functional team activities, production planning, and sales pipeline meetings
- Maintain departmental quality standards and support continuous improvement initiatives
